Global Sales Revenues of 940 Billion Yen during FY 10-11 10% Increase in Global Sales Revenues from previous FY

New Delhi, 13th June, 2011 – Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan - the market leader in the premium air-conditioning market today announced that during the FY2010-11 it has become the World’s No. 1 Air-conditioning Company with global sales revenues of 940 billion yen with an increase of 10% in comparison to last year. The journey to become Global No. 1 in Air-conditioning dates back to 1994 when Mr. Noriyuki Inoue, Chairman took charge as President of Daikin.

In 2001, Daikin set itself a definite target to become the "World’s No.1 in Air-conditioning Company" and since then it has been steering that vision though diverse business landscapes for a decade to secure it in FY 2010-11. This historical achievement finds significant sales contribution from emerging countries, Europe & America.

Daikin Airconditioning India Pvt. Ltd. (DAIPL), the fully owned subsidiary of Daikin Industries Ltd., Japan and the market leader in the premium air-conditioning market currently operates a manufacturing facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan.The plant, which is strategically located at Neemrana, Rajasthan on NH-8 with a sprawling area of 160,000 sq metres entailed an initial investment of Rs. 2,100 million in the first phase.
